Panasonic's HDC-SD100 and HDC-HS100 AVCHD camcorders, now with extra MOS

Ready for some new terminology? Good, try on "3MOS" -- Panasonic's
newest sensor adaptation which, judging by machine translated text, is
a trio sensors capturing twice the light of a single CMOS of the same
1/6-inch size. Think 3CCD
applied to CMOS sensors. The result is said to be superior image
quality and impressive low-light recording capability -- twice the
sensitivity of its own 3CCD camcorders thanks to what Panny calls its
new "heavy lifting iA" enabling them to shoot in a mere 2 lux of
available lighting. That's just a glimpse at what you'll find inside
the solid state HDC-SD100 (supporting up to 32GB of SDHC) and the
HDC-HS100 hybrid offering both SDHC and a 60GB hard disk for storage.
These 1080i AVCHD camcorders also features Panasonic's improved optical
image stabilization, a 12x optical zoom, 5.1-surround mic, and
HDMI-out.The ¥130,000 (about $1,205) SD100 and ¥150,000 (about $1,390)
HS100 should hit the Japanese retail block on July 12th.

收藏到：Del.icio.us

博客大巴，你的个人传媒早班车

TG Sambo (CP-1000), the 4.8-inch iPod Touch Killer

powered by an RMI AU 1250 to 700MHz CPU. It’s powered like a UMPC with
a processor almost as fast as a sub-notebook, matched with a rather
disappointing 128MB of RAM. It has WiFi, T-DMB, plays MPEG 1/2/4, WMV,
ASF, DivX3.1 1/4x/5x, Xvid 1.0 Video files, MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG.
Akihabaranews says it packs 16GB of HDD, but it must be 16GB of flash
memory or 160GB of HDD right?

This is a Korean release only priced at 300 euros or $466. I wonder
with the screen at 4.8 inches they didn’t think of putting GPS in it.
It’s a Korean device after all.

TG Sambo TG Sambo (CP-1000) PMP

收藏到：Del.icio.us

博客大巴，你的个人传媒早班车

Sony unveils 0.3mm thick OLED display

At D6 today Howard Stringer showed off a brand new "thinner than a credit card" 0.3mm thick OLED panel that Sony is working on. They're planning on a 27-inch version
of the screen in the short term for the ultra-rich, but the obvious
hope is to fight LCD for dominance in the home in the coming years.
This could very well be that 11-inch 960 x 540 display we saw last month, but specs are slim at the moment.
Look At Me Keyboard

The Look@Me keyboard concept
you see here isn't meant for typing page after page of office
documents, but functions as the perfect add on for those who tend to do
more instant messaging than they should. No idea how it connects to the
computer (it looks wireless), but it is equipped with all the necessary
buttons required to crank out all emoticons possible, no matter which
part of the world you're at. Alas, this is but a design concept only,
but hopefully we'll see it be a reality. It is pretty redundant
actually, since you can form the same emoticons on any current keyboard.

收藏到：Del.icio.us

博客大巴，你的个人传媒早班车

New DS Lite Colors Coming

running some kind of secret paint factory somewhere, as they seem to
splash their products in a wide range of colors. Strangely enough,
folks who already have a DS Lite won't mind forking out another $129.99
for a different colored DS Lite despite the older one working perfectly
fine. You don't see the same phenomenon happening to iPod nano owners,
and I strongly believe this is the indoctrination of playing too much
Pokemon has on a person that he/she "gotta catch 'em all". Apparently
two new colors to adorn the DS Lite will be lime green as well as hot
red, and these will hit Europe sometime this June.

收藏到：Del.icio.us

博客大巴，你的个人传媒早班车

Digital Cowboy’s HDD Media Player Kit

It’s a lot more comfortable to store all your favorite tunes and
videos in your computer than to spend time looking for the CDs in the
house. Once you have them in your HDD you can play it whenever you want
day or night.

If you want to play it on your TV, the entire procedure is a little
bit more complicated because it involves a computer sitting near by.
Digital Cowboys thought about all that and developed the HDD Media
Player Kit.

In order to make it work, you have to plunk down your HDD and it
will put the music and videos up on your TV. This device includes
HDMI/Coaxial/Optical/Composite outputs so that you can use it with any
TV. WMV HD/MPEG-1/2/4(DivX/XviD)/DVD are only a few examples of the
types of formats it supports.

game developers can make the relatively simple transition between three
platforms to publish their games on - the PC, XBOX 360 and the Zune.

You might have seen pictures on Engadget and Joystiq, but nothing beats full-motion video. Dan Fernandez
has uploaded a short snippet of the Microsoft keynote with Chris
Satchell showing off a game demo on the Zune. Debunking some of the
fears it wouldn’t play well, the controls looks pretty intuitive and
the graphic are smooth as well.

收藏到：Del.icio.us

博客大巴，你的个人传媒早班车
